I don't know how many of you actually read my nonsensical journal entries so I hope that this one actually helps someone.
I most recently found out about a plugin you can get for firefox that will block almost all of those annoying , bandwidth sucking animated ads that pop up on most web pages. this is especially handy if you're on dialup. you just go to "Tools", click on "addons" and search "Flashblocker". This will work on Macs as well (from what I'm told).

I hope this random journal helps someone.

I most recently found out about a massive larp (live action role play) online called humans vs zombies. Its played over a number of days on a college campus. Its probably the only game i know of that uses nerf guns as a standard weapon. If you've never seen it played they have a video on youtube. heres the link to the site. the rules are really well thought out and there is a web based application that goes with it.

Ive been looking for a joband ive found it's almost impossible to find a job off season unless you want to do fast food. So as you can imagine I've been having tons of fun. It seems that putting down your actual qualifications doesn't help. Someone that applied at the same time as I got a job being a cashier. That doesn't sound bad until you realize that this person has no job experience and barely a 6th grade education. I don't know what im gonna do. did stop by the job fair at SCC today. found what seems to be a killer internship for a graphic designer in the advertising niche' in franklin. beyond that all i found was the remote chance for a internship at mediacom and a job at Wal-mart. WEEEEE.
I wish everyone else the best of luck in the job market.
